Context
The main thread was the bottleneck
Battery telemetry arrives in volumes that make naive charting hostile. Every interaction — a brush, a zoom, a filter — triggered computation that blocked the interface.
Approach
Move the work off the main thread
I engineered a high-performance React SPA with real-time interactive visualisations in Recharts and Highcharts, offloading heavy computation to Web Workers so the UI stays responsive over datasets that would otherwise stall it.
Multi-file upload ships with live progress tracking, and the dashboard itself is shareable and authenticated, with guided onboarding for first-time users.
Outcome
Interaction that never stalls
Filtering and exploring large datasets stays interactive rather than becoming a request-and-wait cycle.
